💻UPDATED ZOOM LINK💻
On behalf of Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Joey Strickland, please join us at a ceremony to honor Louisiana’s World War II women veterans!
June 10, 2021
9 a.m.
American Legion Post 38
151 S. Wooddale Blvd.
Baton Rouge, LA 70806
It is an additional honor that five Louisiana WWII women veterans will be in attendance, and also our distinct honor to recognize those WWII women veterans who cannot attend.
We are asking everyone to follow the updated CDC/Office of Public Health protocol in place at the time of this event with respect to masking. As of today, the CDC is not currently requiring fully vaccinated attendees to wear masks, and those who have not been vaccinated are requested to wear their masks. However, we welcome anyone who feels more comfortable wearing a mask to do so, noting here that we do expect to have a number of elderly and senior citizens in attendance.
Coffee, refreshments and lunch will be served.
If you plan to attend the event, please RSVP to LDVA Director of Outreach Larry Williams at larry.williams@la.gov or 225.276.8626 by Tuesday, June 1.
If you cannot join us, or know someone who would like to view the event, but cannot attend, please feel free to share the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84826875718?pwd=YzJtNW9RVHo2dzBscUsvVkRBUDYwZz09.
Thank you for supporting our WWII women veterans!
