Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery

The Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery is located off of Louisiana State Highway 789 on Mike Clark Road in southwest Caddo Parish. The cemetery primarily serves a 75 mile radius which includes northwest Louisiana, northeast Texas and southwest Arkansas.

In 1999, the state veterans cemetery program was established by the Louisiana Legislature within the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs due to a limited amount of national cemetery burial space in the state. Eight years later, in 2007, the Northwest
Louisiana Veterans Cemetery was dedicated. When at full capacity, the cemetery will accommodate more than 22,000 burial sites.

There are two annual ceremonies at the cemetery: Memorial Day and Wreaths Across America Day. We welcome all families and visitors to attend. For directions to the cemetery, visit bit.ly/NWLVCDirections.
